In the first part of the webinar series Crush Your REI Sales Goals, Coach Karishma Mahkani discussed the core values needed to be incorporated to achieve success in real estate investing.
Being successful in any endeavor all boils down to the person’s mindset. People are often blinded by thinking that knowledge is the only powerful tool one needs to be driven to succeed. But in reality, information without clarity of objectives and of course, the right mindset is just basic knowledge.
The same is true when you are in the industry of real estate investing. There needs to be a certainty, that level of understanding of what you really want to achieve.
WHY is that even IMPORTANT?
The more confident you are, the more you attract sales. As they always say, “Success is 80% Psychology and 20% Strategy”. It is an agreeable concept because you become what you feed your brain. If you maintain a positive outlook, you always see the silver lining to anything.
If you’re not yet convinced, perhaps it’s time to assess yourself. Ask these questions.
What are your fears? What are your motivations? Then as honest as possible, try to recall how many clients you have reached so far? You can start your recollection within the last 12, 6, and 3 months? Have you lost a client within that span or the opposite? Then, go back to your answers to the first two questions. What are the possibilities of your solutions to the reason for you to have lost or gained a client?
Based on your answers, you’ll be able to assess what you may be lacking or in excess of that needs to be corrected. It is crucial because in knowing those, you allow yourself to have room for improvement. It could be that what you’re lacking is not product-based or strategy-wise. It could be within you, and no training could make you the best if those are not dealt with accordingly. It then goes back to the very first context which is clarity.
That level of clarity and certainty will pull you out of a quicksand because finding opportunities even with objections will be just like a walk in the park. .
HOW are they being utilized?
There will always be obstacles. Objections and rejections are an everyday occurrence in real estate investing. Those factors can easily demotivate a person from doing his best. But with clarity of purpose and objective, no amount of rejection or objection can put you on the edge. Instead, you derive your strength from those setbacks. There will always be an innate push that will keep you moving forward. Your mind is always open to finding solutions and overcoming obstacles.
Now that the picture is clearer, the question is HOW to Build Certainty?
Condition your mind. Remind yourself of your objectives and motivations. Think of yourself as a Rockstar. You will not settle to mediocrity because you are a winner. Every single day, talk to yourself. Right conditioning is the key, then and only then will you develop a champion mindset. In real estate investing, competitions are in every nook. What sets you apart? What makes you remarkable? Setting those expectations straight will keep clients coming to you. You attract clients, you get more sales. Simple as it may seem, it won’t be achieved unless you exert effort in clearing that area. However, knowledge also plays a vital part.
